Moleculair sieve

A moleculair sieve (Type: OdorOxidizer) is a solid material with uniform (distribution of) pores or with a fixed opening that is used to adsorb gases and liquids.


Molecular sieves also have a large surface that can vary from 300 to 2500 m² / g. They owe their large adsorption capacity to this. For example, a molecular sieve can absorb up to 44 percent of its own weight in water or molecular gas!

For some molecular sieves, the adsorption capacity after saturation can be restored by regeneration through a change in pressure or temperature. A combination of both is also possible. This is known as Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) and Thermal Swing Adsorption (TSA). Aspatec produces various large uniform pore structures for the OdorOxidizer.


Our OdorOxidizer has especially been developed for filtering contaminated air and for removing harmful emissions.

Odormix (blend)

Is used for the removal of, H2S, mercaptans, animal odors, exhaust fumes, cigarette smoke, cooking air, mold and corrosive gases.

Carbon odor

Carbon odor (coconut)

Odor carbon (coconut) is activated carbon and consists of coconut shells in broken dimensions (approx. 0.8 to 4 mm). This is used for removing mixed air flows. It also removes odors and harmful gases such as fertilizers, cleaning detergents and urine.

Activated carbon

Activated carbon has a fine microstructure (not uniform) with a large number of very fine pores. Commercially available activated carbon types have an internal surface of 500 to 1500 m2 / g.
The activated carbon particles (carbon atoms) attract gases or liquid particles (molecules) that surround or flow through the activated carbon.

How strong this attraction is depends on various factors, for example due to the shape and size of the molecules that come into contact with the activated carbon. Because not all molecules are attracted and retained equally, by activated carbon,  it is possible to remove unwanted substances from air, gas or water.

Activated carbon is a collection of various pores, the size and mutual relationships of which are determined by the raw material used and the activation method. In principle, all fiber-containing materials can be used as raw material such as peanut shells, rice, bones, coconuts, fruit seeds, coal and wood.
